Bill Joyner's Friday Musings

Meet Bill Joyner

Somewhere along the line Bill Joyner adopted a personal philosophy that life should be engaged andBill heading up Canton Community Foundation Annual Dinner people should be involved. In his 60 years he has developed some unique communication skills – another way to say that he is verbose – and a lifetime of absorbing knowledge and sharing information.

But most and best of all Bill Joyner is the son of Richard and Geraldine Joyner of Livonia Fame, brother of  Dr. Bob Joyner of San Antonio fame, and dad of Paul Joyner of Hermosa Beach fame.

"All I want to do is cut and fertilize my lawn -- leaving my plot of land just a little bit better than when I arrived," is the outlook on life that Bill shares each and every day.

Even as he starts collectiing social security he starts every day with a Zingerman's bagel and green iced tea, a book and every internet newspaper he can log onto without paying.

Inthe Spring of 2009 Bill started FridayMusings, a weekly publication, all Livonia-all-the-time, always positive. 29 folks received the first edition. Readers now come from all across the nation -- former Livonia residents, folks interested in the success of Livonia, and those just plain curious.

Catching a game at Tiger (it will never be Comerica) Stadium with son Paul of Hermosa Beach fame remains a favorite each summer.

The Musings Estate in Livonia has a pitcher of tea waiting on the counter for anyone interested in stopping by. And if you bring something that requires the tea to wash it down so much the better.
